About Mary Lovein
Born in 1946, longtime resident of the Hawaiian islands. I have owned Holualoa Gallery, est. Jan. 1, 1990, on the Big Island, together with my husband who is also an artist. I was a painter for many years and I have been a photographer for even longer. I published a coffee table book filled with rare photos, and copy about the behavior of the Jackson's chameleons in Hawaii. I still take lots of photos of these fascinating creatures n the wild.
I have found Facebook to be my vision board and journal and love to photograph and document just about everything. I have a personal profile page for friends, a page for Holualoa Gallery, the Chameleons in the Garden page, with current images and videos and also a Holualoa Village, Hawaii page.
A few months ago I began a new series of abstracts, which are macro photos of my husband's glass work and have worked on them with Photoshop, using tools and layers. hey are high resolution and can be printed in many sizes on a variety of surfaces. I am excited about the new work, which I can see placed in traditional as well as contemporary interiors, residential or commercial.
Though I have been in the art business, both as an artist and gallery owner, I am just getting started with Fine Art America and plan to upload lots of my abstracts, chameleon photos and Hawaiiana. Please enjoy my work and feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Best wishes and aloha,
Mary Lovein
